That's basically a more wordy version of my post you quoted above. Using some sort of mod loader is preferable. Or perhaps even dropping them into Skyrim's main data folder. Then moving the finished mod to where I put my installed mods. Then it was a matter of copying in whatever mod needed working on into CK data folder. It was a matter of copying over the main resource files ".ESM" and ".BSA" from Skyrim VR's data folder into the data folder the CK created when it installed itself. Originally posted by Il_Drago_Asdru:Which mod did you use in order tomake things work? It was not a matter of what "mod" I installed made things work. I'm guessing because it still looking in the empty folder it insists on installing itself into.Ī download link to the stand alone installer that came from the Bethesda Launcher version would be nice and probably solve the problem. I then tried copying the CK files into Skyrim VR's folder and launching it. It launches but can't find any resource files because its in an empty folder by itself. If given said file from Skyrim VR's folder. Firstly it doesn't have the needed "steam_api64.dll" and just crashes out. This for obvious reasons doesn't work when launched. It seems to ignore the registry and creates an empty "Skyrim Special Edition" folder and drops itself in there. Then install CK SE and it installs itself into the correct folder. (I don't have it) A registry key pointing SE's install folder to VR's install folder was all that was needed. Previously with the Bethesda Launcher version. How do I install this Steam version of CK SE to work with Skyrim VR? I don't have Skyrim SE.
